Gosh darn reading slump! I was only able to read a couple of books this month with how busy I was with the holidays and I barely had any want to read because I was so tired. Enough of my struggle, onto the books!
1) City of Ashes by: Cassandra Clare 5/5 Stars
Because I was driving so much I decided to get this audiobook through my library so I could listen to it in the car. I read this book years ago, but since my boyfriend and I started dating I started rereading the whole series slowly. I absolutely love this book and the series as a whole. I’m also glad I’m rereading it as Queen of Air and Darkness releases later this year and I need to be all caught up.
2) Zenith by: Sasha Alsberg, Lindsay Cummings 4.5/5 Stars
I got this book way back in June at BookCon, but I wanted to save it for this month so I could read it a little closer to its release date. It was such a hard wait as I saw more and more people giving it great reviews. This book did not disappoint! I was so happy that I was able to get this book and meet both Sasha and Lindsay because I had followed them for a while and heard them talk about this book in its very early stages. I really needed a good sci-fi to get me back into the mood for reading. This book had so many action-packed scenes and twists that had me sitting on the edge of my seat. You can check out my review and here all of my nonspoilery thoughts for this book here.
I am a little upset that I didn’t get to read more last month, but I have high hopes for this month due to all the new releases that I want to devour. 2018 is already shaping up to be a pretty great year for me and I can’t wait to see what it brings reading wise.
